Celebrating World Health Day: “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures
Juba – CES, On this World Health Day, I stand on behalf of Community Preventive Medical Care to reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the health of our communities, particularly during the critical early stages of life. This year’s theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” resonates deeply with our mission to ensure that every child is given the right start to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.
As we commemorate World Health Day, we recognize that the foundation of lifelong health is laid during childhood. Ensuring access to clean water, nutritious food, and essential healthcare services is paramount. Today, we must also acknowledge the vital role of mental health and holistic support in a child’s development, which is crucial for fostering resilience and hope that will carry them into adulthood.
At Community Preventive Medical Care, we are dedicated to creating equitable health opportunities for families, particularly those in underserved communities. We believe that every child deserves a healthy start, free from illness and preventable diseases. Our programs aim to enhance maternal and child health services, promote vaccinations, and provide education on nutrition and preventive care.

I urge policymakers, community leaders, and every member of society to unite in our commitment to this cause. Together, we can build a future where health disparities are eliminated, and every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Let us embrace this World Health Day as a reminder of our shared responsibility to invest in the health of our youngest generations. By nurturing “healthy beginnings,” we not only improve individual lives but also foster inclusive, thriving communities that can look forward to a “hopeful future.”
Join us in committing to invest in community health initiatives, advocate for policy changes, and support families throughout our regions. Together, we can create an environment where our children flourish and succeed.
