26th February, 2026, Community Preventive Medical Care (CPMC), in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, has commenced a two-day orientation workshop for its Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) team. The team comprises a General Practitioner, Clinical Officer, Laboratory Technician, Midwife, and Dispenser.

The Mobile Medical Unit is scheduled for official launch on 4 March 2026 in Nakitum, a remote community with no existing health facility. This initiative is part of CPMC’s commitment to improving access to essential healthcare services for underserved and hard-to-reach populations.
The orientation workshop is designed to equip the MMU team with the technical, ethical, and operational competencies required to deliver high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services. Through this initiative, CPMC and Samaritan’s Purse aim to strengthen community health outcomes and ensure reliable, lifesaving medical care for the residents of Nakitum.
