Introduction:
Women and youth are the backbone of any community. At the recent CHE workshop in Nakitun, these groups played a central role, learning valuable skills and taking the lead in promoting health and well-being.

The Role of Women and Youth:

  • Women:
As primary caregivers, women are often the first to adopt and teach health practices.
  • Youth:
Young people bring energy and innovation, making them ideal health advocates.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Soap Making:
Women learned how to make liquid soap, a skill they can use to generate income and improve hygiene.
  • Life Skills Training:
Youth participants gained practical skills, from basic first aid to waste management.

Impact Stories:

  • Anna’s Soap Business:
Anna, a workshop attendee, started a small soap-making business after the workshop. “I’m earning money and helping my community stay clean,” she shared.
  • Peter’s Leadership:
Peter, a youth representative, organized a clean-up campaign in his neighborhood. “The workshop inspired me to take action,” he said.

Conclusion:
By empowering women and youth, CHE is creating a ripple effect of positive change in Nakitun and beyond.
